a 501(C)(3) Non-Profit Organization
Our good friend and brother Darryl Elliott was an avid hunter passionate about conserving our wildlife and supporting his hometown of Matagorda, Texas! Darryl had a strong interest in organizing an event to help support one of the leading entities in conserving our wildlife, your Texas Game Wardens! In the months before his passing, Darryl reached out to us here at Hook Spit Junior Anglers to team up with Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation’s Gear Up for Game Wardens program to help their mission to provide specialized equipment not provided by the state. Hook Spit Junior Anglers' goal in hosting the Matagorda Slam Event is to help ensure that your Texas Game Wardens have access to the most up-to-date technology and equipment! With your support, we hope to make this annual event a significant factor in keeping the passion of our brother Darryl Elliott alive and funding the needed equipment!
