This event is a celebration of our dear friend and devoted conservationist, Darryl Elliott, who had a deep love for wildlife and a strong commitment to the community of Matagorda, Texas.

Darryl’s passion for preserving wildlife and supporting his hometown drove him to initiate an event aimed at aiding the essential efforts of Texas Game Wardens in wildlife conservation. Before his passing, Darryl approached us at Hook Spit Junior Anglers to join forces with Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation’s Gear Up for Game Wardens program. Together, our goal is to bolster their mission by providing specialized equipment crucial for their vital work—a cause close to Darryl’s heart.
